Meet the Founder: Lucas Carini
Lucas Carini was born and raised in a small rural town in Connecticut, where he developed an early passion for agriculture by working on local farms during high school. After graduating, he joined the United States Marine Corps Reserves and, following completion of his active training, committed himself fully to pursuing a career in agriculture. Lucas gained hands-on experience working across seven states on a wide range of livestock operations. Much of his time was spent managing 500–600 head cow–calf operations using sustainable practices such as rotational grazing. He also managed goat and sheep herds on the Navajo Nation, where he learned to implement rotational grazing without permanent fencing, relying instead on herders to manage livestock in an arid rangeland environment. These experiences shaped his understanding of the powerful impact well-managed grazing can have on land health. Recognizing the ecological and operational benefits of targeted grazing, Lucas founded Ecograzing Solutions in 2024. He is passionate about expanding the use of targeted grazing across all sectors of vegetation management and is equally committed to the educational and community-building opportunities it creates.
